Michael Danner was born in Reutlingen in 1967 and now lives in Berlin. He studied photography at Fachhochschule Bielefeld (Germany) and the University of Brighton (UK) and subsequently lived in London from 1997 to 2000.

Michael Danner works for a variety of magazines, agencies and corporate clients. Both his commercial work and his personal projects explore questions of identity in relation to people and places.
His work has been exhibited widely both in Germany and abroad, has been awarded many prizes and is represented in a number of collections.
